Stargazing in the Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms National Park has vast areas of low light pollution and amazing vantage points, making it one of the best places in the world for stargazing. Hillgoers can help you create an unforgettable experience in the Cairngorms or other areas of Scotland. Join one of our planned Dark Skies Walks or get in touch to create a bespoke event. Our Dark Sky walks usually start from Ballater or Braemar.

Hillgoers' founder, Garry, is a certified "Star Ranger" and looks forward to sharing his knowledge of the night sky with you! Events can include a walk up a small hill to provide uninterrupted panoramic views of the night sky, or a short walk or drive to a similar open area.
