Introduction to trail running course
Hillgoers Introduction to Trail Running Course is designed to build confidence so you can eventually plan your own adventures into the hills and glens.
Our experienced guide will lead you on a run suitable for all participants, along the trails and up into an open hill environment. We will provide top tips on what to carry, running techniques, navigation for runners, good routes in the area and safety on the hill.
Guided and self-guided trail runs
Our guided, and for the more experienced, supported self-guided trail runs take the stress out of your day or multi-day trip into the highlands.
Run over some of the most iconic landscapes with Hillgoers taking the lead or just supporting you with logistics in the hills, dropping tents and arranging transport returns.
Trail Running in Scotland
Are you a complete beginner or a hill walker who wants to learn how to pick up the pace, travel light and go further? You might be an experienced trail runner looking to complete some longer trails and just need help with logistics, we’re here to support you!
Trail running gives you that extra freedom to explore more and offers you the opportunity to do your sport in some of the most amazing landscapes.
About your guide / instructor
Naomi loves spending time running, mountaineering, skiing, biking and drinking hot chocolate in the Scottish hills. She is a Summer, Winter and International Mountain Leader, Duke of Edinburgh Assessor, and National Navigation Award Scheme Tutor. She has been lucky enough to travel the globe leading expeditions over the past 12 years, with the remote arctic mountains of Norway, Greenland and Alaska being her favourite destinations. She is an active member of her local mountain rescue team and a qualified doctor.
